Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)

Nose Surgery | Rhinoplasty | Chin Augmentation | New Jersey | ParamusRhinoplasty or reshaping of the nose surgery is one of the oldest operations in cosmetic surgery. These are all performed in our own surgery center under twilight sleep anesthesia on an outpatient basis. With our technique, packing is not used, and there is usually minimal bruising and virtually no pain. The operation itself takes approximately 1 hour.

Prior to the surgery, the most important part of the consultation is our computer imaging session. At this time, we will make the changes on the computer and discuss exactly what it is that you would like to accomplish. Sometimes we will point out the fact that the chin is small and would balance the face by being built up, and will discuss this at the same time. Today's rhinoplasty tends to be very natural and understated. The computer imaging is the ideal way to communicate between doctor and patient.

After care is extremely simple. You will spend a few days at home with the ice over the area. Our patients are allowed to shower and shampoo their hair the following day, and the cast comes off the nose between three and five days. You can resume normal activity and be out in public within one week, although we ask that you refrain from vigorous physical activity for several weeks after the surgery.

Chin Augmentation

Chin Augmentation | New Jersey | ParamusChin augmentation reshapes the chin to help provide a harmonious balance to the facial features. We recommend chin enhancement to patients wanting to achieve a more satisfying facial proportion, since the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose and vice versa. We pride ourselves on a very sophisticated computer imaging program, which allow you to appreciate the process of the procedure.

The procedure can be performed as an isolated operation or along with, and complimentary to, other operations such as a rhinoplasty or a facelift. The operation has been performed by plastic surgeons for almost 50 years now. We at CosMedical present a state-of-the-art approach to what we call an anatomic implant, which contours perfectly to the outside of the jawbone. Most people are completely unaware of its presence after a few weeks. It is performed under a light sedation type of anesthesia along with local. If this operation is done alone, most people are able to be back in a social situation within a matter of days.
