Are you bothered by a receding or “weak” chin? At BAXT CosMedical® our Board Certified plastic surgeons can strengthen your jawline and improve your profile with a chin implant. Men, your chin plays an important role in you overall facial balance and proportion.
Why do Men Undergo Chin Augmentation?
Some men may have a weak chin due to heredity or the chin may have receded due to a trauma or simply due to aging. Sagging muscles and loss of fat in the lower face can emphasize a receding chin.
Chin augmentation reshapes the chin to help provide a harmonious balance to the facial features. Our physicians recommend chin enhancement to men wanting to achieve a more satisfying facial proportion, since the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose and vice versa.
What is Chin Augmentation Surgery?
The operation has been performed by plastic surgeons for almost 50 years now. We at BAXT CosMedical® present a state-of-the-art approach to what we call an anatomic implant, which contours perfectly to the outside of the jawbone.
The surgery is performed under a light sedation type of anesthesia along with local anesthesia by Dr. Sherwood Baxt. If this operation is done alone, most people are able to be back in a social situation within a matter of days.
Can Fillers be used for Chin Augmentation?
For select patients chin augmentation can be accomplished with fillers. Natural-looking results can be achieved with modest amount of fillers skillfully injected into the chin to give more shape and forward projection to the patient’s chin.
Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvéderm®, Restylane®, or Radiesse® are the commonly used dermal fillers at BAXT CosMedical®. Our board certified physicians will discuss with you if you are a candidate for chin augmentation with facial fillers.
