Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation
At BAXT CosMedical®, our board-certified dermatologists are pleased to offer Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for facial rejuvenation. PRP is a revolutionary treatment that non-surgically renews your face using your own plasma!
Dr. Rebecca Baxt and Dr. Saida Baxt, who have over 30 years combined experience as board certified dermatologists, were initially skeptical about the popularly named “Vampire Facelift.” While platelet rich plasma has a long and successful use in orthopedic, reconstructive surgery and dentistry, its use in cosmetic dermatology sparked interest when it was found to be beneficial in skin wound healing. Dermatologists and cosmetic specialists then began to use this technique for a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure.
The PRP facial revitalization system has evolved and clinical research has documented its effectiveness in reducing facial wrinkles, softening and smoothing skin.
Eclipse PRP® facial rejuvenation system was selected by BAXT CosMedical®. This proprietary PRP kit and medical device is a FDA-cleared 510(k) Class II medical device.
The Eclipse PRP® system processes your blood to optimize platelet concentration.
How Does PRP Therapy Work?
Once your blood is drawn in a simple blood draw, it is placed in a centrifuge where it is separated and concentrated to a small volume of plasma. The resulting plasma is comprised of platelets and growth factors. The platelet rich plasma is injected into targeted facial areas. Once activated, the platelets release proteins, including the accelerated growth of collagen. The concentrated platelets aid in rejuvenating your skin to a healthy and more youthful state.
What Does PRP Treat?
PRP facial rejuvenation is used to
- Reduce facial wrinkles

How Long Is The Process And Is It Painful?
Dr. Rebecca Baxt and Dr. Saida Baxt explain to patients that processing the PRP is quick and painless as the simple blood draw takes just a couple of minutes, followed immediately by a 10-minute centrifugation of the blood.*
Patients experience a mild stinging or burning sensation and there may be some redness and bruising at the application site. These conditions resolve quickly leaving you with fresh, healthy and rejuvenated skin.
Is PRP Safe?
