We treat many thousands of acne patients over the last 35 years and have had no serious allergies to benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in our patients. Allergic reactions can happen to many things and if you ever have a severe allergic reaction you should call 911. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are great anti-acne treatments and we will continue to use them as needed.
