How Does the CoolSculpting® Technology Work?
The CoolSculpting® technology was originally developed by Harvard University scientists and physicians who reportedly noticed while some children were eating popsicles that they got dimples. This simple observation by Dieter Manstein, MD and R. Rox Anderson, MD led them to believe that cold can selectively affect and reduce small pockets of fat cells. This realization became known as Cryolipolysis®, which is the clinically proven science on which the CoolSculpting® technology is based.
The CoolSculpting® machine safely and gently delivers controlled cooling to targeted areas of fat cells. This patented technology precisely controls the cooling process so only the targeted fat cells are affected. The fat cells are crystallized and die. Over time your body naturally processes the crystallized fat and the dead fat cells are reduced. Other parts of your skin are not affected and the targeted crystallized fat is gone for good!*
