What Is Kybella^® and How Does it Work?

Kybella^® is a prescription medication that is made from deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in your body. Kybella^® works by destroying fat cells when injected into the fat beneath the chin.* BAXT CosMedical^® board-certified dermatologists may recommend Ultherapy^® if patients desire to tighten the skin. Ultherapy^® uses ultrasound energy to help lift and tighten skin on the face, neck and chest.

How Many Kybella^® Treatments Will I Need?

Many patients treated with Kybella^® experience visible contouring of their chin profile. As demonstrated in the BAXT CosMedical^®, Kybella^® patient’s before and after photos, improvements vary but are typically seen after two to four treatments.* The exact number of injections will be based on your desired goals and the amount of fat under your chin.
