How does Restylane® Work?
Restylane® is based on a hyaluronic acid gel that closely resembles the body’s own hyaluronic acid. This naturally occurring substance provides volume and fullness to your skin. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane® is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA™, or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. NASHA™ is biodegradable and completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid.
Is Restylane® Right for Me?
Restylane® can be used for smoothing out moderate folds and wrinkles, enhancing your lips, and shaping facial contours. However, very superficial or very deep wrinkles may be better treated with other fillers. Dr. Rebecca Baxt and Dr. Saida Baxt will advise you which dermal filler will best accomplish your cosmetic facial goals.
How is Restylane® Injected?
During your treatment with Dr. Rebecca Baxt or Dr. Saida Baxt, Restylane® is skillfully injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. When enhancing lips or facial contours, Restylane® adds volume and shape to the treated area. Restylane® now has lidocaine in it for increased comfort during treatment.
